Roofing Continues

Bend’s temperatures haven’t been extreme but Marc has found that the shingles get too hot to work with by about 1 p.m. every day so the roofing job has become protracted. My son and cousin have helped out, which has thankfully speeded up the process so now Marc is into the home stretch but the most tedious—working with all the flashing around the wood stove pipe, the fans, and two skylights. We’ve set Monday as a target date for leaving for the coast. 


Marc manages to stay busy with other stuff—replacing the Freightliner window as an example. He knocked it out then had to drive (windowless) to the shop in Bend. I bet that was a sight that turned a few heads!
